The ValueBase includes two primary sets of data:

• IT Spending Comparison Data contains IT Spending as well as company and financial performance data on over 21,000 companies. IT Spending data is created in partnership with leading IT industry research firm IDC, to provide baseline data on which to derive IT Spending metrics with company and financial performance data obtained from leading financial information provider Hemscott Data (formerly Core Data)and S&P Compustat. This data set is used to do named peer to peer comparisons as well as industry average comparisons on various Business and IT performance metrics.

• Analyses Case Data contains tens of millions of resulting IT Assessment, ROI and TCO analyses produced in using Alinean's Business Value Sales Tools. The Analyses Case Data is used to compare a target company to aggregate benchmarks and metrics based on industry, size and/or geographic location.
